, 1. Form: Lid quillwork depicts a large 5-point star. The center pentagon is made of white quills, and the points turn into brown. Star is outlined and encircled in white. The outside open space between the points has a crosshatch quill pattern
, The side has an upper and lower band of the same pattern. 7 quills are lined up vertically and bunched together in the middle. Between these are crosshatched diamonds. , The inside is lined with bark to hide the quill ends.
